Been out of my working desk for some time, but I'm back with: <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TblccmIGOkI/AAAAAAAAL2U/GEFgd1EsBEI/_DSC2612.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="362" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TblccmIGOkI/AAAAAAAAL2U/GEFgd1EsBEI/_DSC2612.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Only few minor things to add and the painting will start.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QFsHScbOoT8/TblfyQjMfJI/AAAAAAAAL2g/rFKM__jW2AM/s1600/_DSC2628.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="198" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QFsHScbOoT8/TblfyQjMfJI/AAAAAAAAL2g/rFKM__jW2AM/s400/_DSC2628.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QFsHScbOoT8/TblfyQjMfJI/AAAAAAAAL2g/rFKM__jW2AM/s1600/_DSC2628.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />

I wanted to take advantage of small trick to show the working suspension: <br />
<br />

Tonight I would like to present the following set of rare vehicle: <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/SrgTz46nOvI/AAAAAAAAFqs/pj1hIGQQs0M/s1600/PICT0003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="488" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/SrgTz46nOvI/AAAAAAAAFqs/pj1hIGQQs0M/s640/PICT0003.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I started making it some 1.5 year ago. Shortly after taking everything together it looked like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/Suo04pKb0iI/AAAAAAAAF_Y/M4_ICg3hGA0/s1600/PICT0001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="342" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/Suo04pKb0iI/AAAAAAAAF_Y/M4_ICg3hGA0/s640/PICT0001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> I added own thread and also the mesh for platform. Also I cut the sides of the cargo bay.<br />
It was painted quite fast, but I hesitated for a long time to finish it. I wanted to make realistic projectiles for it.<br />
I have finally made a nice method to weather them in a way that suits my imagination.<br />
It was covered with silver acrylic agama paint, then I have masked the lines and sprayed some Hair Spray.<br />
After that I covered them with green acrylic and made all scratches with coctail stick and a modeller knife. It was covered then with dark MIG wash, which upon couple of minutes was cleaned gently with a piece of paper. Finally some pigments and drops of wash made it. Ok, let's go with the pictures:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TUMhWR7idVI/AAAAAAAALfg/Hq2h8wbBS6g/s1600/PICT0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TUMhWR7idVI/AAAAAAAALfg/Hq2h8wbBS6g/s640/PICT0003.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />

IBG Models 72008 [part 1]It was very pleasing announcement to see 4 different versions of some small cars used by Army of 2nd Republic of Poland. It catched my thoughs, how beautifull it must have been at it's times. So I tried to build one for myself.<br />
<br />
The box is quite big and contains 2 sprues, a piece of clear plastic, decals and instructions:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TSJh7kL-IYI/AAAAAAAALTc/Jm-G0y3nHkw/s800/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="448" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TSJh7kL-IYI/AAAAAAAALTc/Jm-G0y3nHkw/s640/PICT0002.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
It take some time, some parts have to be rethinked how to allign them, but after few hours of work one can make such a small thing:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TSJh9WnIT1I/AAAAAAAALTk/OF128e8xr-0/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="392" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TSJh9WnIT1I/AAAAAAAALTk/OF128e8xr-0/PICT0002.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I have added a foil as a canvas, opened the engine bay, make license plates from piece of PS card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TSJh-Igw3BI/AAAAAAAALTo/wqOUV0Ruyic/PICT0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TSJh-Igw3BI/AAAAAAAALTo/wqOUV0Ruyic/PICT0003.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
And it is small... It could almost be hidden in the box for matches :)<br />

I wonder how You perceive the changes. Sometimes, if this step is not overdone it's so hard to notice changes, yet is visible overall. So now i may start with chipping. I like the slightly satin finish now - after chipping I would like to breake the averall satin finish and leave it only around frequently used areas - when the rest will be covered with matt dust etc. But it will be hard to reproduce the effect in photos. Stay tuned for updates :)Marcin Nowogródzki - mnowogrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04256385097142380715noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5305774980394685848.post-36045251518643322442010-10-19T10:31:00.000-07:002010-10-19T18:33:44.373-07:00Krupp Protze + 76 mmF-22USV (PAK 39 (r)) [part 2]So I have put a satin acrylic layer upon which I have added decals and made overall dark wash:<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TL3RiTtdMoI/AAAAAAAAKOI/90Pg8oLdGyk/PICT0003%20%283%29.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TL3RiTtdMoI/AAAAAAAAKOI/90Pg8oLdGyk/PICT0003%20%283%29.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Hope now I can fix all with satin varnish once again and I'll do some blending and aging with oils.Marcin Nowogródzki - mnowogrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04256385097142380715noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5305774980394685848.post-22175005857029124812010-10-18T13:20:00.000-07:002010-10-18T13:21:47.457-07:00Krupp Protze + 76 mmF-22USV (PAK 39 (r)) [part 1]It was ment to be another fast build project. The Krupp Protze Kfz. 69 was one of the numerous towing trucks used by Wehrmaht. I would like to depict one when towing captured 76mm russian cannon.<br />
I made use of two models by Caesar Miniatures and ACE:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLthDMJxDYI/AAAAAAAAKMU/vDvLp2cRH3g/PICT0004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="370" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLthDMJxDYI/AAAAAAAAKMU/vDvLp2cRH3g/PICT0004.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
The Krupp Protze miniature is very nicely detailed kit, with quite a lot of parts. There are rubber tires and a figure of driver.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLthHc6ySyI/AAAAAAAAKMc/1fsfRVF8DrM/PICT0007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="347" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLthHc6ySyI/AAAAAAAAKMc/1fsfRVF8DrM/PICT0007.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Some are oversized, some simplified, but overall it gives a lot of pleasure during building. Instruction images are too small sometimes. The ACE kit is of short-run technology quality. So it could vary from box to box.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLthFZGyvII/AAAAAAAAKMY/QprFiYf9qdE/PICT0005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="365" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLthFZGyvII/AAAAAAAAKMY/QprFiYf9qdE/PICT0005.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
I have almost no problems with both of these kits, and altogether they went into this set:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTOw0u-xI/AAAAAAAAKLo/qQ5EB0eHvBI/PICT0001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="157" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTOw0u-xI/AAAAAAAAKLo/qQ5EB0eHvBI/PICT0001.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTPMJEk9I/AAAAAAAAKLs/ZFRc0kw8Uf4/PICT0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="151" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTPMJEk9I/AAAAAAAAKLs/ZFRc0kw8Uf4/PICT0003.jpg" width="400" /></a></div> As can be seen, I've added some handles from plastic wire and simplified tool clamps. The PAK received traveling blockade, new ramrod and smaller details from plastic wire. It was ment to be pleasure, so I omit hundreds of bolts in the PAK.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTTKrT_YI/AAAAAAAAKLw/-nSsCx1_xAo/PICT0004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="187" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTTKrT_YI/AAAAAAAAKLw/-nSsCx1_xAo/PICT0004.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTU4lW-aI/AAAAAAAAKL4/2jfzAqd4jAY/PICT0006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLtTU4lW-aI/AAAAAAAAKL4/2jfzAqd4jAY/PICT0006.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I have on my mind two visions of the paint work. First one was Krupp with two tone camo: green stripes over Panzergrey with PAK in two or three tone russian camouflage and the second was plain Panzergrey with green PAK. I have chosen the second one, as I could try some tones differentiations. Finally I've arrived at this stage:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLuobLGWbSI/AAAAAAAAKM0/sCYCDRm0TfE/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="165" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLuobLGWbSI/AAAAAAAAKM0/sCYCDRm0TfE/PICT0002.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLuob3uRJeI/AAAAAAAAKM8/UT0B9R4_6kE/PICT0004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="140" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLuob3uRJeI/AAAAAAAAKM8/UT0B9R4_6kE/PICT0004.jpg" width="400" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLuobeaT07I/AAAAAAAAKM4/GbRYTfn9q7c/PICT0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TLuobeaT07I/AAAAAAAAKM4/GbRYTfn9q7c/PICT0003.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> So now I think about setting the decals and further weathering.Marcin Nowogródzki - mnowogrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04256385097142380715noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5305774980394685848.post-46586323529870483322010-10-09T12:24:00.000-07:002010-11-30T15:39:14.447-08:00Pz III L in winter dress, Revell 1:72 - with small base [Part 5]I have added small base to the vehicle. Kfz. 10 and PAK (r) F-22 in Africa - DAKThe Caesar miniatures kit is of good quality. Lot of parts, nice tracks. Some small things to correct, some details to exchange, but overall almost straight out of the box it makes a nice subject to work with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKpHtV79wAI/AAAAAAAAKBE/3Y8aDpzB8vA/PICT0007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="530" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKpHtV79wAI/AAAAAAAAKBE/3Y8aDpzB8vA/PICT0007.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
A couple of hours and it was finished:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofFg-9lqI/AAAAAAAAJ_4/s-Ok6mHo7Xo/PICT0069.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofFg-9lqI/AAAAAAAAJ_4/s-Ok6mHo7Xo/PICT0069.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofGLRjgKI/AAAAAAAAJ_8/So9ZzLlhDrQ/PICT0070.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="432" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofGLRjgKI/AAAAAAAAJ_8/So9ZzLlhDrQ/PICT0070.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofGtykFWI/AAAAAAAAKAA/KgLuG0YoE8U/PICT0071.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="362" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofGtykFWI/AAAAAAAAKAA/KgLuG0YoE8U/PICT0071.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I have exchanged only the two canister holder frames. The notek light don't look good, but it was ment to be a fast built for focusing on painting only.<br />
<br />
I wanted to make it in DAK - 41/42 two tones camo: panzergrey with patches of sand colour on it. I wanted also once more to take some advantage of Hair Spray method.<br />
<br />
After base coat, and few different grey colours, and first chips of grey coat:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofHIVcG0I/AAAAAAAAKAE/B8R6aYh--co/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofHIVcG0I/AAAAAAAAKAE/B8R6aYh--co/PICT0002.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofHtPtALI/AAAAAAAAKAI/IpMlyieG9BI/PICT0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="273" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofHtPtALI/AAAAAAAAKAI/IpMlyieG9BI/PICT0003.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofH6i6s1I/AAAAAAAAKAM/RNuqg2fIWrU/PICT0005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="182" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKofH6i6s1I/AAAAAAAAKAM/RNuqg2fIWrU/PICT0005.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Then I have started washing out the sand layer - with water. I realise this metod is more and more controllable in my hands.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7XxNRBsI/AAAAAAAAKAk/yilryp4gM8g/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7XxNRBsI/AAAAAAAAKAk/yilryp4gM8g/PICT0002.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7Yrm_vXI/AAAAAAAAKAo/6WJDVrQGP64/PICT0004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="211" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7Yrm_vXI/AAAAAAAAKAo/6WJDVrQGP64/PICT0004.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7ZEqmVbI/AAAAAAAAKAs/kAm9DWVUIhQ/PICT0005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="253" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7ZEqmVbI/AAAAAAAAKAs/kAm9DWVUIhQ/PICT0005.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7ZsZ5ArI/AAAAAAAAKAw/QjFzLFeau3w/PICT0006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TKo7ZsZ5ArI/AAAAAAAAKAw/QjFzLFeau3w/PICT0006.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />

<br />
During visit in one of mine favorite modelshop, I was granted for free a small bag with green plastic parts - It was incomplete UM model of one of its tank on T-70 chassis. <br />
Then looking for an inspiration I found that photo:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TJAO8CEW6ZI/AAAAAAAAJ5o/SDJg51QY_cs/foto.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="216" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TJAO8CEW6ZI/AAAAAAAAJ5o/SDJg51QY_cs/foto.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Because i got for sime time at my workshop already built model of this cannon, I started to work on the turretless tractor:<br />

Two more views of frozen-dried mud covered with fresh snow:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TIApF-lBWII/AAAAAAAAJlM/UqXY9Iydf7g/s1600/PICT0042.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="408" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TIApF-lBWII/AAAAAAAAJlM/UqXY9Iydf7g/s640/PICT0042.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />

And finally for scale comparison. It was a lovely kit. I may recommend it to all modelers.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/Sy6Ho0aIRmI/AAAAAAAAG4w/sg7Iigs3aS4/5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="452" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/Sy6Ho0aIRmI/AAAAAAAAG4w/sg7Iigs3aS4/5.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I did some small corrections - hooks on the tower, grab handles...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/SxXkpEPJ5wI/AAAAAAAAGmQ/opKXxQTfqOs/PICT0009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="442" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/SxXkpEPJ5wI/AAAAAAAAGmQ/opKXxQTfqOs/PICT0009.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/SxXknF4hMAI/AAAAAAAAGmM/6zrR9ASSZcY/PICT0008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="402" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/SxXknF4hMAI/AAAAAAAAGmM/6zrR9ASSZcY/PICT0008.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

Then I put some Panzergrey and with standard hair spray technique I haze added white, then chipped with water and brush:<br />

Then I put it on a shelf for some months... And yesterday a friend of mine gave me the inspiration I needed to continue work on it...<br />
Acrylic washes:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THgagspQj2I/AAAAAAAAJW4/ebUZOAEXSPo/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THgagspQj2I/AAAAAAAAJW4/ebUZOAEXSPo/PICT0002.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THgajcSLGEI/AAAAAAAAJW8/0URbAWjBkZQ/PICT0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="422" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THgajcSLGEI/AAAAAAAAJW8/0URbAWjBkZQ/PICT0003.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
After that I have painted some tools, and started to adding some earth tones, again acrylics only:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhM2u5g82I/AAAAAAAAJXc/o6hYIcMn0rk/PICT0001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhM2u5g82I/AAAAAAAAJXc/o6hYIcMn0rk/PICT0001.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhQj6JWxWI/AAAAAAAAJY0/rVRRoar2XEg/PICT0003-2%20-%20Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="422" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhQj6JWxWI/AAAAAAAAJY0/rVRRoar2XEg/PICT0003-2%20-%20Copy.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Did I went to far? Let's check it on B&W photo:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhM7P1vwiI/AAAAAAAAJYU/6Ljz6vqXiPk/PICT0003-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="420" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhM7P1vwiI/AAAAAAAAJYU/6Ljz6vqXiPk/PICT0003-2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhM_8fuk4I/AAAAAAAAJYQ/klz_KPaAcTU/PICT0005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="288" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/THhM_8fuk4I/AAAAAAAAJYQ/klz_KPaAcTU/PICT0005.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Now I'll try to enter the hull and upper surfaces with pigments. Before this I would like also to weather the tracks in appropriate way.Marcin Nowogródzki - mnowogrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04256385097142380715noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5305774980394685848.post-22717577606861301122010-08-20T17:58:00.000-07:002010-08-20T17:58:46.325-07:003 x Famo and 21 cm Morser 18 [black priming]A foto from the work bench...<br />

<br />
I also wanted to try myself something like this.<br />
The turret of ostwind is a little bit less complicated. I bought a Part PE fret with the turret for having some kind of refference, and the building started :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDZHYYzMXI/AAAAAAAAJCk/ZimVfYOFmF4/PICT0002-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="402" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDZHYYzMXI/AAAAAAAAJCk/ZimVfYOFmF4/PICT0002-2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Just in case I made a copy of in paper and then I fit the builded flak. It suites quite well, and anything else I couldn't see. Then I cut the hexagonal base, and side panels. Side panels were later cut almost in a half, and fitted:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDY_7n3R5I/AAAAAAAAJCM/WKqdSdnXoIo/PICT0003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="388" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDY_7n3R5I/AAAAAAAAJCM/WKqdSdnXoIo/PICT0003.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
With flak:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDY_XQlqmI/AAAAAAAAJCI/IFFzZErCVdo/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDY_XQlqmI/AAAAAAAAJCI/IFFzZErCVdo/PICT0002.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
After adding the top layer of panels:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDY-2mM5NI/AAAAAAAAJCE/r9PhzY9Pvks/s1600/PICT0004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="592" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDY-2mM5NI/AAAAAAAAJCE/r9PhzY9Pvks/s640/PICT0004.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>Not all the panels fit well, some I have cutted. But the build is almost complete. Almost, because unfortunately the flak should be hidden completely under the edge of panels, and in my build it doesn't. For now I have to take some rest, and maybe ver. 2.0 of turret will be builded :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDZE7c1-BI/AAAAAAAAJCY/VtCcBwY10aA/PICT0007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="490" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDZE7c1-BI/AAAAAAAAJCY/VtCcBwY10aA/PICT0007.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDZDV3AqTI/AAAAAAAAJCU/QW7zJ2zV_NA/s1600/PICT0006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="540" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TFDZDV3AqTI/AAAAAAAAJCU/QW7zJ2zV_NA/s640/PICT0006.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>Have You seen some other scratch builded Ostwind's in 72 scale?<br />

One from Dragon, the other from Revell. One of it will be in ambush camo, the other one... maybe octopus camo?<br />
<br />
Anyway, for some time it will be cats on my desk ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TETkVhfC2rI/AAAAAAAAI_A/biZEvaYsmA4/PICT0001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="498" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TETkVhfC2rI/AAAAAAAAI_A/biZEvaYsmA4/PICT0001.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TETkWzhBTcI/AAAAAAAAI_I/v9KmJw2w2mI/PICT0003%20-%20Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="462" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TETkWzhBTcI/AAAAAAAAI_I/v9KmJw2w2mI/PICT0003%20-%20Copy.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
As for now, the one from Dragon looks like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TETkWHyIyII/AAAAAAAAI_E/XqBs8_arbjk/PICT0002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="388" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NznT2sbBpH4/TETkWHyIyII/AAAAAAAAI_E/XqBs8_arbjk/PICT0002.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
I started with some weldes, periscope protections, handles at the hatches.<br />
The PE mesh is from Voyager.<br />
I plan for this one an ambush camo.<br />
<br />
Still some work will be done...Marcin Nowogródzki - mnowogrohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04256385097142380715noreply@blogger.com0
